A difficult game at a difficult location for the quarter final of the Mactavish Cup.
On a glorious day at Canal Park, Caol we started well and attacked from the start. This resulted in the home keeper saving a shot with his leg, which was deemed a penalty and Greg lashed it into the back of the net with style. Our lead however didnt last long and the home side equalised shortly afterwards.
Greg had other ideas though, and scored another two well taken goals before the half to make it 3-1, the second of these inparticular was a well worked move down the right with a number of players involved.
In the second half, it took untill the 78th minute for the fourth goal to be rattled into the back of the net by Graeme who had come on at wng centre. The fifth then came shortly afterwards with a crisp strike from Kevin on the right, and the scoring was completed when Kilmallie scored their second from the spot.
A good win against a strong Kilmallie side.
Through now to the semi-final with Kinlochshiel waiting. Seems there’s a toss of the coin though, through the week ,to see who gets home advantage.
