Despite 8 hours travel on a bus, interrupted by road accidents and rain and with the match finally starting at 5 o’clock in Tighnabruaich, we still managed to grind out 2 hard fought points at a difficult venue.
The lead legged heroes were under some severe pressure from the throw up, held out well and even went ahead on the break through a Lorne strike.
The Scottish Champs, however equalised before the half with a long speculative drive from distance.
In the second half, we found our feet, and put the home team under pressure, and with a good strike from Owen took the lead which proved to be the winner.
An excellent 2 points for the first time at Kyles despite everything seemingly piled up against us.
Due to other games being cancelled with the weather, we are left this weekend at the top of the league, albeit with other teams having games in hand…
