Better all round display on Saturday against a strong Kingussie side, buoyed by the return of Ronald Ross to their starting line up.
In front of a large crowd, the team competed well in all areas. However, two opportunist strikes, well taken by Ross kept Kingussie ahead until a Martin Bell strike in the 85th minute pulled one back. This was within a prolonged period of Lovat pressure which continued right until the final whistle.
In the end, time ran out for us, and maybe a draw wouldn’t have been an unfair result given the late pressure, and corner count….
