The U14s had a highly successful weekend trip to Lewis in February, staying at the Heb Hostel in Stornoway. The shinty activities included mixed team games and skill sessions, all in glorious sunshine. They also managed to pack in a visit to the local primary school’s fundraiser, a visit to Lews Castle and a chance meeting in the street with Boydie from Peat and Diesel! All in it was a great experience for the kids, making new friends and looking after themselves without the usual parental safety net. Big thanks to the adults who travelled with the group for organising everything and giving the kids such a great opportunity.
